Paolo Di Canio sacked as Sunderland head coach

Word has got around but if you didn’t know already, Sunderland coach Paolo Di Canio has been sacked after only 13 games in charge. The Italian had not won any of his 5 Premier League games this season, and the Black Cats are sitting at the bottom of the table, 2 points adrift of rivals Crystal Palace. Despite only being in charge for 13 games, Di Canio had already made a name for himself for being an animated manager, who often left the touchline to address his players. Sunderland ended last season only one place above the relegation zone, however a win against local rivals Newcastle led to the fans backing him. This season luck has not been on his side as Sunderland have already conceded 11 goals and have only secured one point.

Personally, I think that Sunderland were right in sacking Di Canio as only 3 wins in 13 games is not good enough at any level of football in my opinion, be it the Premier League or League Two. Take part in the poll below if you think that Di Canio should have been sacked or not.
