Arsenal vs Norwich review

For those of you who didn’t see the footballing masterclass given by Arsenal on Saturday, I strongly recommend that you watch it on YouTube or on BBC iPlayer from midnight today. The final score was 4-1 to Arsenal and this was due to some top saves from the Norwich keeper Ruddy. Arsenal started of very well with some strong attacks and Cazorla having an early shot to try and test Ruddy. The game was by no means boring but not much happened for a while until 60,000 people witnessed one of the best goals of all time by the promising England youngster Jack Wilshere. Wilshere passed the ball out to Cazorla on the left. The Spanish maestro gave the ball to French talisman Olivier Giroud who flicked the ball up to Wilshere on the edge of the box. Wilshere kept the ball in the air by back heeling it back to Giroud who then back heeled it in the air back to Wilshere for a simple finish on his right foot. One of the best goals of all time and a strong early contender for goal of the month, season and decade. All of the goals that followed were quite special with Arsenal doubling their lead through a brilliant header by Mesut Ozil. Norwich then hit back through a lovely volley by Jonny Howson. Arsenal struck two late goals with Zidane style play from Ramsey tricking his way through the Norwich box to slot home, followed by a cool nutmeg from Ozil after a cutback from Ramsey following Rosicky’s cross. Mesut Ozil was voted as Arsenal’s Man of the Match. My goon of the match has to be Flamini who hurled into a 50/50 challenge and consequently left the field with concussion. Arsenal will be without him tomorrow when they face German giants Dortmund in the champions league.
